On August 2nd, mini-Olympics were organized for the residents of Saint-Malachie and participants from the Quebec program. A total of 35 people took part in this sunny day in Saint-Malachie. Basketball and volleyball were on the agenda for the four teams composed of residents, participants, and staff members. It was a friendly competition that created moments of fun, laughter, solidarity, and, of course, healthy competition.
A committee put together by the youth of Saint-Malachie led an opening ceremony, a warm-up session, and a medal ceremony. Certificates of therapeutic involvement were awarded, along with prizes for participants who demonstrated remarkable sportsmanship.
The youth and adults in the program learned to get to know each other, shared their experiences, and had a unique experience. The staff members agreed to compete with them, which was greatly appreciated by all participants.
