On Sunday, October 6, Portage Atlantic celebrated its Annual Recognition Ceremony in the presence of 200 guests under the theme “Better Days”.
The event, hosted by graduates Kaos Splude and Aaliyah McGraw, honored 22 youth who had completed the residential phase of their rehabilitation treatment program and 11 youth who have maintained one year positive lifestyle back in the community. Many shared their personal journeys, expressing their gratitude to Portage staff and their families for their support.
We were honoured to welcome Mrs. Geneviève Lefebvre, President, and CEO of Portage, who gave an inspiring speech. We were also joined by special guests, including the Honourable Brenda Murphy, Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick, as well as representatives from Lions Clubs of District N1 and United Commercial Travellers Jack Kidd Council #755. Their participation made the day even more special, as together we celebrated the incredible achievements of these young people on their journey to “better days”.
