As a licensed practical nurse you will participate in the administration of a range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive procedures. You will provide nursing and wellness care required by users. Under the supervision of the nursing management, your role is to perform certain examinations, follow prescriptions, and collaborate with other professionals during examinations and treatments.
Ensures compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures and prioritizes the quality of care provided, the safety and well-being of users, in all tasks performed, actions taken, and documents written.

Ensures that all tasks and actions are channeled towards the safety and well-being of users.
Participates in welcoming users and facilitates their integration
Facilitates the physical and psychological adaptation of users to the living environment
Ensures and monitors the user’s personal hygiene as well as the cleanliness of their clothing.
Collaborates in preparing users for laboratory, radiology, and consultation exams, as well as accompanying them as needed.
Performs certain diagnostic techniques, such as vital signs, weight, intake and output measurement, and others
Participate in various activities to draft and update the care plan for each user.
Applies therapeutic measures according to their scope of competence and according to the activities assigned to them
Record in the file the medications and treatments given, the diagnostic techniques used, as well as relevant observations.
Attests to the prevention, safety, and well-being of users
Participates in the implementation of the program of occupational, recreational, and social activities aimed at the rehabilitation of users.
Collects and communicates to the nurse the data gathered from users, incidents, and errors occurring within their scope of activity.
Perform any other related duties as requested by their immediate supervisor.
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Health, Assistance, and Nursing Care (SASI)
Member of the Order of Auxiliary Nurses of Quebec (OIIAQ)
Have an interest or experience with clients with addiction problems, in a community setting or a therapeutic community. (asset)
Bilingual: French and English (asset)
Knowledge of the suite Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Rotating Schedule: Day shift, with evening shift every other weekend
