Awareness Event 2023

On January 17, 2023, Portage Ontario hosted its first awareness event of the year. Held at the Royal Canadian Military Institute, the evening was an opportunity to introduce community members to Portage and the work it does in their community.

Highlight of the evening, undoubtedly, was when a Portage graduate spoke about her challenges with addiction. While she is off to university, to pursue a Major in Psychology– it was not lost on anyone that this was not the usual outcome for adolescents battling addiction, and that Portage had played a small part in helping her rediscover the joys of a drug free life.
