Following last year’s remarkable success and the strong interest it generated, Eric Lecuyer, Director of the RNA Biology Research Unit at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) and Portage Governor, organized another visit to the IRCM on Thursday, November 27.
The visit gave our young residents a chance to explore the Institute’s laboratories and technological platforms. Curious and eager to learn more about the research, they asked thoughtful questions and were excited to discover something entirely new.
Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Lécuyer and his team for generously taking the time to introduce our vulnerable youth to the fascinating world of microorganisms, perhaps sparking in some an interest in pursuing a scientific career.
Moved by the young visitors’ curiosity—a hopeful sign for science—Dr. Lécuyer shared this: “By opening the doors of the IRCM to these young people, we hope, in our own small way, to spark their interest in scientific research."
