On September 28, families of our residents came together for a warm and meaningful day at Portage Saint-Malachie.
The day began with a delicious meal prepared by our chef Maryse Breton, followed by activities that reflect daily life at Portage — from household tasks to a friendly volleyball match between parents and residents. The energy and involvement of the families were truly inspiring, leaving a strong impression on many of the youth.
To close the day, a workshop on family relationships offered a space for heartfelt conversations, emotional expression, and connection. It was a powerful reminder of both the vulnerability and strength within family bonds.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the family members who joined us and continue to support their loved ones by participating in our services — including workshops, family support groups, and parent-adolescents sessions. Their presence and commitment play a vital role in the recovery journey of our residents.
It was a day full of emotion, one that will remain a cherished memory for the Portage community.
