Small message of interest to all current and former Portage residents

The Portage User Committee (Montreal region) is looking for passionate new members to fill some of its vacancies. To continue to give back to the community after its program, to have an impact on the communities and to have a voice with the directors and administrators of Portage.

 

Prerequisites:

  • Wish to volunteer in defending the rights of Portage users;
  • Be available in the evening, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., once a month, with the possibility of a one-time meeting between two;
  • Be interested in representing the UC at various activities such as recruitment in centres, board of directors, program and vigilance committees, etc.;
  • Be interested in meeting with resident committees in the centres a few times a year to help and support them;
  • Want to develop tools and projects aimed at defending the rights of users and residents.

  • Being able to provide solutions;

  • Meeting with Zoom during the pandemic
  • Hybrid meeting in normal time: in person at the Mother Child Program with supper provided and by zoom for users who stay away;
  • May be covered for travel and babysitting expenses;
  • Possibility of obtaining a position as secretary, vice-president or treasurer;
  • Opportunity to familiarize yourself with the conduct of a committee;
  • Good experience to add to your resume.
