The 26th edition of the Golf and Cycling Event took place at the renowned Laval-sur-le-Lac Golf Club on Monday, June 3, basking in perfect summer weather.

This event brought together 136 enthusiastic golfers and 36 motivated cyclists, proving to be a resounding success and raising a net total of $150,000.

The evening featured a young resident who shared her story, which was warmly received. Her moving rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” accompanied by Sébastien, Lac Écho’s music teacher, earned her a standing ovation. The music enrichment program offered at the residential centre has been an excellent addition to the therapy, providing a positive alternative to substance abuse.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the event’s honorary chairman, Alexandre Lemieux, Managing Director and Head of Commercial and Private Banking at the National Bank, for his energetic leadership. We also want to thank all the members of the organizing committee whose determination helped us achieve our goal and double the number of cycling enthusiasts. Co-hosts Alexandre Lemieux and Alexandre Viau, co-owner and General Manager of Groupe Deragon, added an engaging dynamic to the evening.

We are deeply grateful to the National Bank for generously contributing to this unifying event. Alexandre Lemieux, who will once again serve as honorary chairman next year, has invited guests to join him at the 27th edition of the Golf and Cycling Event on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Thanks to all participants and volunteers for this wonderful success.

See you next year!
