Portage Atlantic at the Philanthropy in Action celebration

Every year, the Fredericton Community Foundation hosts the Philanthropy in Action celebration – an unforgettable evening celebrating the Fredericton area community and its’ generosity.

This years’ event honoured Brenda and David Sansom, two pillars of the Fredericton region whom have left a lasting impact in the community and touched the lives of so many. In Brenda’s words: “Anything that David and I have done has simply been something in our community that needed doing. Plain and simple. So, we did it... with all sorts of help.”

Portage Atlantic holds a special place for Brenda and David, as Brenda once held a position on the Portage Atlantic Board of Directors. Although she may no longer be on the board, her impacts and dedication to our program have lasted far beyond her tenure. Thursdays’ event was a testament of this as Portage Atlantic was so graciously chosen by Brenda and David as the recipient of this year’s Philanthropy in Action $10,000 grant.
