In a remarkable show of solidarity, a few residents of HCPII (Habitations communautaires Portage II) and staff members participated in a plasma collection drive in partnership with Héma-Québec.
This important initiative orchestrated by Pierre-Olivier Caron, a member of the HCPII occupants’ committee and employment counselor at MIRE, brought together six residents and two staff members. The event was made possible through the valuable collaboration of Ms. Hélène Laprade, Plasma Donor Recruitment Advisor at Héma-Québec.
"This initiative represents much more than just a plasma donation," explains Pierre-Olivier Caron. "It's a tangible way for us to give back to the community and show that everyone can make a difference, regardless of their journey. One plasma donation can save up to three lives - it's a direct and meaningful contribution."
The success of this collection, which brought together eight generous donors, demonstrates not only the social commitment of our graduates but also their sincere desire to contribute to the collective well-being. A big thank you to the participants who, through their donation, directly contribute to saving lives and making a tangible difference in our society.
