On Friday, July 25, 2025, Portage Atlantic officially inaugurated its new Moncton Community Care Program, located at 22 Church Street. This innovative service is designed to support youth in the region facing substance use challenges who may also have mental wellness issues.
Free, confidential, and accessible without a referral, the program offers personalized support from an on-site team in a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment. The goal is to provide youth and their families with meaningful, tailored help that meets their needs.
The opening ceremony brought together many partners, community organizations, and government representatives. Portage Atlantic warmly thanks the Honourable Rob McKee, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, the Honourable Claire Johnson, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, and the Mayor of Riverview, Mr. Andrew LeBlanc, for their presence and support.
We would also like to thank Dave Ferguson, Chair of the Portage Atlantic Board of Directors, for his continued support of this new community-based initiative.
The Moncton Community Care Program aligns with Portage Atlantic’s mission to make rehabilitation services more accessible to youth, focusing on listening, proximity, and community engagement.
