Montreal Golf Open: A Memorable Day in Support of Lac Écho Youth

This edition will be remembered for a significant challenge: playing across two courses, a first in the event’s history. Thanks to the outstanding commitment and collaboration of participants, partners, and volunteers, this challenge was successfully met.

Beyond the athletic performance, it was the collective generosity that truly stood out. The event raised a record net amount of $250,000, entirely dedicated to supporting adolescents and young adults at Portage’s Lac Écho residential centre. This important contribution will help sustain their recovery and provide an environment where they can rebuild their lives.

A highlight of the day was the heartfelt testimony of Artémii, a young adult graduating from the Lac Écho program. His sincerity, strength, and courage deeply moved those in attendance. His journey perfectly illustrates the tangible impact of Portage: giving young people the chance to move forward and build a better future.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Alexandre Lemieux, honorary chair of this edition and Managing Director and Head of Enterprises and Private Management, Risk Management Solutions Group at National Bank. His leadership and dedication to Portage’s mission played a key role in the success of this event.
