On Tuesday, November 14, Portage had the honour of welcoming the Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec, the Honorable J. Michel Doyon, to our Adolescent and Young Adult Centre in Saint-Malachie. Mr. André Roy, President of PMT ROY Assurances et services financiers, Portage Board member and Chair of the annual fundraising campaign, also joined us with several committed partners.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Lieutenant-Governor for caring about young people and their future. He spoke to the group and had a lovely conversation with them. His wisdom inspired and encouraged them to pursue their passion.
This visit helped the residents recognize that many people in the community are dedicated to Portage’s mission and play a key role in their recovery.
