Expedition with Odyssée Adventure for the residents of Saint-Malachie

For several years now, the residents of Saint-Malachie have had the opportunity to participate annually in an expedition with the facilitators from Odyssée Aventure. This emerging program from camps Odyssée aims to provide significant outdoor experiences to adolescent and young adult clients.

The youth of the Saint-Malachie community have rolled up their sleeves by getting involved in the overall organization of the project. Indeed, the boys and girls planned the campfire meals with the help of Portage’s head chef, organized the inventory of appropriate clothing, crafted fire starters, and worked on the expedition schedule.

The experience was wonderful once again! With the sun shining, the youth were able to put into practice the canoeing techniques learned on May 22nd and then work on setting up a campsite. Beautiful landscapes to admire, therapeutic bonds that were strengthened, and unforgettable memories resulted from this wonderful experience. Congratulations to the residents for their perseverance, to the accompanying facilitators, and finally, thank you to the Odyssée Aventure program.
