As an assistant cook, you will be responsible for preparing execute and distribute the meals and snacks. Under the supervision of the director and the chef, you will collaborate on the regulations and standards of quality, security, and sanitation of the kitchen.
Helps in the assembly of the meals and plates;
Prepares the ingredients required according to the menus (chop and peel fruits and vegetables, cut the meat, etc.);
Monitors the dishes while they are cooking;
Washes all kitchen equipment (dishes, utensils, pots and pans);
Cleans the work spaces, the cabinets and accessories;
Inspects and ensures the compliance of hygiene regulations of the premises and the equipment used;
Collaborates or performs tasks related to the kitchen operation’s smooth running;
Related tasks: Perfoms other tasks as required by the immediate supervisor
High school studies;
Experience in kitchens or restaurants (asset);
Hold a recent training certificate in hygiene and sanitation approved by MAPAQ;
Good shape physically;
Demonstrate autonomy and organization
