Reporting to the Director of Social Reintegration, the Unit Manager of Community Housing Services is responsible for the quality, safety and consistency of services offered across all community housing. He exercises clinical and organizational leadership to ensure rigorous practices, effective team management and continuous improvement of services, in accordance with Portage’s mission and standards.

Clinical Aspect
Ensure the quality, consistency, and evolution of clinical practices
Intervene and support teams in complex or crisis situations
Plan, structure, and lead individual and group clinical supervision sessions
Evaluate clinical activities to maintain high standards of intervention
Develop and implement new clinical tools and activities adapted to needs
Ensure continuity of services in collaboration with internal and external partners
Maintain a continuum of care including social reintegration and support for families and caregivers
Participate in the organization’s clinical and decision-making bodies
Administrative Aspect
Ensure the overall coordination of HCPs (HCP 1, HCP 2, and future projects)
Manage and coordinate admissions to HCPs with partners
Plan schedules and ensure adequate service coverage
Supervise, mentor, and motivate staff (meetings, follow-ups, coaching)
Act as a mentor and support the professional development of teams
Participate in HR processes: hiring, onboarding, performance evaluation, and management
Write supervision reports and document employee files
Supervise interns and volunteers
Collaborate closely with the director in managing operations and strategic priorities
Ensure the administrative follow-up of operations and service agreements
Participate in administrative and organizational meetings
Perform any other related tasks
College diploma (DEC) relevant to the position or university degree in addiction studies (or be in the process of obtaining one);
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a counselor at Portage or in a similar position in a rehabilitation centre; or possess the experience, knowledge, and professional skills essential to program administration;
Good knowledge of the laws and regulations of the Montreal Municipal Housing Office and the Quebec Housing Corporation (an asset);
Good knowledge of government agencies and structures that interact with various social reintegration services (an asset);
Bilingual – French and English (spoken and written);
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
Experience in intervention, crisis management, and problem-solving;
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills;
Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and management abilities.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Ability to adapt work schedule (day and evening) according to service needs, including occasional mandatory evening shifts (a few days per month)
Salary: To be discussed based on experience

Travel: Between community housing units within a 20km radius
