As a Counsellor Level 4, your primary goal is to facilitate the education and re-education of individuals based on established action plans. Working under the supervision of the center director, you play a crucial role in guiding individuals toward rehabilitation and successful social reintegration.
Acts as a coach towards his peers and the community;
Responsible for and participates in the elaboration and implementation of training;
Takes the SOD’s place when needed;
Ensures group supervisions;
Mentors other clinical counsellors (levels 1, 2 and 3);
Ensure that the quality of care provided is appropriate and consistent with the policies and procedures within the organization;
Concentrates all tasks and activities towards the security and well-being of the residents;
Participates to the elaboration of intervention plans;
Sees to the pursuit of individual therapeutic objectives that have been determined in the intervention plan;
Collaborates to the evaluation of the resident’s global needs;
Ensures that the resident’s environment corresponds to their needs and favors their rehabilitation and well-being;
Participates to the revision of programs in collaboration with the relevant employees in the organization;
Verifies observation reports, evaluation reports, behavioural summaries and all other required documentation;
Take on the responsibilities of the Unit Manager when they are absent;
Participates, when required, in case supervisions;

College degree in a related field or university degree in addiction (or in the process of completing it)
Pass the Portage training level 4 exam;
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position;
Experience with a clientele with substance use disorders in a community setting or therapeutic community
Experience in intervention and crisis management
Bilingual: French and English
Knowledge with Microsoft environment
Valid driving licence
Skills in interpersonal relationships and teamwork
Job Type: permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: day and evening shift (rotation), week and weekend
