June 2, 2025 - The 27th edition of the Portage Golf & Cycling Event took place yesterday under a bright summer sky. For the first time ever, the event was held at the prestigious Royal Montreal Golf Club, the oldest in North America and host of the 2024 Presidents’ Cup.

The event brought together 144 golfers and 343cyclists, who explored the scenic shores of Montreal’s West Island with the support of the Avelo team.

The tournament was a resounding success, raising a record net total of $184,000 for adolescents and young adults at the Lac Écho residential centre.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks the tournament’s honorary chairman, Alexandre Lemieux, General Manager and Head of the Risk Management Solutions Group, Corporate and Private Banking at the National Bank, for his leadership, as well as to all the members of the Organizing Committee, whose dedication helped us surpass our goal.

We are deeply grateful to the National Bank for contributing so generously to this unifying event.

Sincere thanks to all participants and volunteers for making this event such a success. We look forward to seeing you again on June 1, 2026, for the 28th edition of the Portage Golf & Cycling Event.
