Portage Atlantic & District N1 Lions Project

About Portage Atlantic

The residential bilingual programs and services offered at Portage have helped thousands of Atlantic youths overcome their dependencies and live healthy, happy, and productive lives.

Since its inception in 1996, Portage Atlantic has evolved in leaps and bounds from its programming to the actual physical site. This steady growth is thanks to the dedicated staff members, to the ever-present volunteers, supporters, and to the youth themselves who have courageously committed to living healthy lifestyles.

Your Community Garden

The long-term residential treatment center, situated near Sussex on the picturesque shores of Cassidy Lake, spans across 165 acres. Nestled within this campus is Your Community Garden, offering a captivating view of Cassidy Lake. This garden serves as a serene haven for youth undergoing treatment, visiting family members and volunteers.

Your Community Garden aims to empower young individuals by involving them in planning, establishing, and maintaining the garden alongside dedicated community volunteers. The garden's development will unfold throughout the seasons, spanning several years. It will engage numerous youths, staff members, supportive community members and donors.

By contributing to this initiative, you can make a tangible difference in the lives of the youth in treatment and their families; your donation will go towards Programs and Services at Cassidy Lake with a portion dedicated to Your Community Garden.
