{"id":3924,"date":"2013-03-20T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portage.hamakmarketingnumerique.com\/announcements\/new-physical-education-teacher-inspiration-youth-130320"},"modified":"2016-03-08T16:19:34","modified_gmt":"2016-03-08T21:19:34","slug":"new-physical-education-teacher-is-an-inspiration-for-youth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/portage.ca\/en\/new-physical-education-teacher-is-an-inspiration-for-youth\/","title":{"rendered":"New physical education teacher is an inspiration for youth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">The adolescent community at<a href=\"\/qc\/rehabilitation-centre-prevost-lac-echo-quebec\"> Portage Pr\u00e9vost <\/a>is very proud to welcome their new physical education instructor, Steve O\u2019Brien.\u00a0 An Olympian and track and field champion, Steve visits the centre to provide an hour and a half of physical education every week to both the boys\u2019 and the girls\u2019 community, as part of the Regroupement Courant-Nord de Qu\u00e9bec en Forme.<\/p>\n<p>He also heads up the Steve O\u2019Brien Foundation, which organises fundraising events to support local athletes, organisations, and youth programs.\u00a0 He has climbed Mt.
