This crucial moment in the life of our youth represents another step towards adult life for them. Portage\u2019s Graduation Ceremony for its anglophone residents brought together family members, relatives as well as members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swlauriersb.qc.ca\/?lang=en\">Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier School Board<\/a>. Of this School Board, Paolo Galati, President, Frederic Greschner, Vice-President, and Michael Quinn, Assistant to the Pedagogic Services, attended the Ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The graduates, each wearing the\ntraditional graduation gown and the legendary squared cap, were honored for the\ncompletion of their secondary education. Following an emotional allocution, the\nclass\u2019 valedictorian received a laptop and was awarded the School Board\u2019s\nCitizenship Award, which came with a $500 gift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Portage is proud of its residents\u2019\nacademic success. Each year, the Montreal English-speaking adolescents program\nhelps hundreds of teenagers overcome addiction. These young graduates are an\nendless source of inspiration to many of them.
