On September 22, 2018, cyclists, both young and old, took to the country roads and scenic trails that make up the region of Centre Wellington in support of Portage Ontario<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The outpouring of support for Portage\u2019s first-ever cycling event known as Pedal for Portage was tremendous! Not only did participants\u2019 efforts raise $94,000 in proceeds, the ride also brought media and community awareness to the issue of substance abuse amongst our youth and the societal stigma that plagues them.<\/p>\n

Contributions from Pedal for Portage will support Portage\u2019s 40-bed residential drug addiction rehabilitation centre located in Elora, Ontario, so that at risk youth with substance dependencies, can access treatment at Portage immediately and free of cost.<\/p>\n
