How long is the treatment program?\n\t\t<p>The program\u2019s duration is determined by each individual\u2019s needs, motivation, and readiness for treatment; it rarely lasts for longer than six months.<\/p>\n\t\t\t3. How much does it cost?\n\t\t<p>Thanks to government funding and private donations, Portage is able to provide its rehabilitation services free of charge\u00a0to Quebec\u00a0residents, with only nominal fees to pay.<\/p>\n\t\t\t4. What is the admission process?\n\t\t<p>Admission to the program is voluntary. Must clients be referred by health professionals?\n\t\t<p>No. Referrals to the program can be made by the clients themselves, their families or guardians, social service agencies, hospitals, community resources, courts, schools, and other treatment providers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t 8. How often will I see my family?\n\t\t<p>Residents can speak with their family members on the telephone three times a week. After three weeks of therapy, the first family visit occurs on Portage premises for a 6 hour period. Following this initial visit, residents can leave the centre for day visits with their family every 3 weeks. Once the resident reaches a certain level in their therapy, they can spend the weekends with their family, which helps them prepare for social reintegration. The family visit schedule is subject to change, at the discretion of the resident\u2019s caseworker.<\/p>\n\t<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/portage.ca\/quebec\/adult-day-centre-program\/\">External Program<\/a><\/h3>\n\t\t\t1.
