All Portage programs in Quebec are <strong>free <\/strong>of charge and are largely funded by the Government of Quebec. You do not need a referral from a health professional. You can apply yourself, or be referred. A meeting with a counselor is held to assess your needs and readiness.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen will I be able to see my family?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Each program is tailored to the individual, and the pace of family visits depends on their progress.<\/p>\n<p>In general, family visits begin after tree weeks of therapy and gradually increase as the resident advance in their treatment.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tCan I go to school while in treatment?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Yes.<\/strong> The program includes an on-site school. <a href=\"https:\/\/portage.ca\/en\/quebec\/french-adolescent-program-east\/ecole-envol\/\">L&#8217;Envol School,<\/a> located at our centre, allows youth to continue their education in an environment tailored to their needs.<br \/>School is mandatory for adolescents. For young adults aged 18 and over, participation is voluntary. Classes are part-time and personalized based on each person&#8217;s needs and interests, with a focus on career planning.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWho is the program for?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The program is for francophone youth aged 14 to 21 from Eastern\u00a0Quebec.<\/p>\n<p>Youth from Western\u00a0Quebec is served by Portage&#8217;s rehabilitation centre in Pr\u00e9vost.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWhy offer a program for 18 to 21-year-olds?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Young adults aged 18 to 21 have specific needs in rehabilitation that are often not addressed by existing services.<br \/>By extending the adolescent program up to age 21, we provide support that&#8217;s better suited to this stage of life. This initiative also responds to requests from the healthcare network, as many youth lose access to youth protection services at 18, even though they still need support.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tDo you offer support for families?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Yes.<\/strong> At Portage, we believe that family plays a key role in the rehabilitation process. With the resident&#8217;s consent (14 years and older), we offer support to loved ones through individual meetings and weekly group sessions.<br \/>For young adults (18-21), parental support is especially important, as it can greatly influence their path toward independence.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tDo you offer aftercare services?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Yes. We offer post-treatment support for about 18 months to help young adults reintegrate into daily life. This includes individual follow-ups with a counselor and support groups.<br \/>Thanks to our partnerships, we also offer help with housing, job readiness, and continuing
