Singer, impersonator, actress and TV host Véronic DiCaire was moved by the Portage cause after performing at the 20th edition of Soirée des Grands Philanthropes honouring Guy Cormier.

She voiced her interest in learning more about our organization. Together with Remon Boulerie, Véronic visited our residential centre for adolescents in Lac Écho on January 3, accompanied by Serge Marchand, President of St-Denis Thompson and Portage Board Member—Colette Taylor, Vice-President, Philanthropic Development at Portage—and Sylvain Harvey, Director of Property and Material Resources, Portage.

Véronic was impressed by the scale of the work being carried out for the construction of the adolescent wing, especially by the layout of the music room. Her joie de vivre and enthusiasm made her a hit among the young residents, and she generously met their requests to imitate well-known artists.

The residents will remember this special visit for a long time. We thank her warmly.
