This project, which was set up thanks to the PREL contribution, became an essential enrichment part of the adolescent therapy program. Reading is one of the crucial tools for sustainable freedom from various addictions.
Under the watchful eye of a library facilitator, the book club offers a fun approach through discussion workshops, board games, and role-playing games related to previously purchased books and periodicals. Also, various reading areas have been set up to allow for regular reading, which has an impact on managing young readers’ emotions and positively affect their sleep.
Young people stimulated by various activities that indirectly require reading will discover their talents, further regain self-confidence, and gradually want to continue their studies.
Portage is thus developing expertise in innovative know-how by using reading as therapeutic support.
