A unique fundraising event in the form of a three-course take-out dinner was held on October 7, 2021 at the Lily Lake Pavilion restaurant in Saint John. The organizing committee included the main sponsors, the United Commercial Travellers (UCT) Jack Kidd Council #755, comprised of members Wes Cosman, Tom Davidson and John Eisner. They, along with numerous other volunteers, were on site to welcome ticketholders and hand out the dinners. Once back home, the participants tuned in to the online event, which included a word from UCT President Bernie Regenbogen, the testimonial of a mother and son who talked about their journey through addiction, as well as a musical composition by Dave Myles and a presentation by Erin Flood, both of whom are from Saint John.
Pictured above are UCT member Wes Cosman, Carol Tracey, of Portage Atlantic, and Kalyn Frampton and Elisabeth Thomas, of Scotiabank Grand Bay Westfield. The Scotiabank held a ticket sale on its premises and matched the amount with its own contribution.
The bank sold $3000 of tickets and matched ticket sales with a matching grant of $3000!
