Portage Ontario was presented in January with a three-year grant from the Rotary of Guelph South in support of the Portage Ontario Bursary Awards Program. Created in 2018, the program provides youth who have completed Portage’s residential drug addiction rehabilitation program with a financial grant towards a recognized post-secondary education or towards a recognized career track program in trades.
To recognize the generosity of Rotarians from the club, the new bursary will be named Guelph South Rotary Bursary. The bursary will benefit Portage youth from Guelph and the surrounding area, with funds used to support tuition, program fees or books for students.
Portage is indebted to the Rotarians of Guelph South Rotary Club who continue to support our youth and help break down the stigma surrounding youth addiction.
