Reporting to the Director of Nursing and the facility director, the registered nurse is responsible for a variety of nursing services according to the health needs of the assigned residents. As such, he / she plans, dispenses, evaluates nursing needs and collaborates in the administration of preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic care.
Participates in the development of treatment plans of residents in collaboration with the clinical team
Updates the files for each resident, a file in which are recorded all the information relating to the physical and mental health
Develops nursing care plans as required
Assesses, if necessary, more specifically the withdrawal complication risks and mental health in view of the health of the resident and his consumption history
Applies as needed and depending on the situation, the protocols in force
Applies routine health care through the application of his profession recognized care techniques
Refers residents to specialized medical resources required by their condition and maintains the link with those resources
Collects and transmit to colleagues relevant data with regard to residents physiological, psychological and social needs referred to him
Participates in case discussions of the multidisciplinary team;
Acts as a resource person in consulting and research related to his profession
Contributes to the training of personnel, according to his field of competence and expertise
Acts as a guardian, tutor or supervisor of college or graduate trainees
Related tasks: Preforms other tasks as required by the immediate supervisor
Hold a recognized college or university degree in nursing
Member of the “Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ)”
Have experience with a clientele with substance use disorders as well as the therapeutic community approach
Ability to analyze problems and ability to work under pressure in a highly emotional environment
Ability to establish priorities in the organization and good clinical judgment
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shift
