Recognition Ceremony at Elora

On October 1, 2022, Portage Ontario celebrated its annual recognition ceremony.

Attended by over 110 guests the event celebrated those who completed the residential phase of treatment. It also recognized those who had achieved the one-year positive lifestyle milestone.

Speaking to the guests, Ms. Sara Erskine, Portage Ontario Board said that the path walked by each young person was one that required determination and fortitude. She congratulated the youth on their graduation and their one year sober lifestyle milestones. She lauded the parents for remaining with their loved ones through their journey while at the same time overcoming the stress and strains that substance abuse brings down on a family.

Ms. Erskine thanked the Portage staff on their commitment and dedication to the young people and to the families who entrusted their loved ones to Portage’s care.
