Every year in the springtime, businesspeople from the Québec City and Montréal regions participate in Portage’s Table du chef events, which raise money for Portage's drug addiction rehabilitation centres for youth.
In Québec City, the event takes place at the Fairmont Château Frontenac and in Montréal, they take place at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth and at Ferreira Café.
With the assistance of the restaurants' executive chefs, guests prepare a delicious gastronomic dinner in the hotel’s kitchens. The apprentice cooks are able to size up their culinary talent by sampling the meal they prepare.
