On Wednesday May 3rd 2017, the 16th edition of the cocktail reception was held at the Rotonde of the Complexe Jules-Dallaire, co-chaired by Michel Dallaire, President and CEO, Cominar Real Estate Investment, and Olga Farman, Associate Director of Norton Rose Fulbright, Quebec Office. This event was attended by approximately one hundred and fifty businesspeople from the Quebec Region during an evening for the benefit of the drug addiction treatment program for Portage Saint-Malachie adolescents.

On Thursday May 4th, 2017, Portage’s MICA program for mentally ill chemical abusers held an open house to share its expertise with various health providers. At this special occasion, the father of a past resident gave a testimony on his family’s journey in the misery of despair caused by the associated problem of drug addiction and mental illness. For his family, Portage was a critical lifeline. Following is a moving testimony about a little-known reality.
