Portage ‘Fresh Start’ Dinner and Auction a resounding success

The future for Ontario youth who need treatment at Portage is bright, thanks to a record turnout at this year’s annual Fresh Start fundraising gala. On October 19th, Portage Ontario welcomed supporters, friends and alumni to Toronto’s Boulevard Club, where their annual dinner and auction exceeded all fundraising targets. By the end of the evening, over $160,000 was raised for the Portage Ontario Youth Treatment Fund. Read more…

Celebrating the Portage Ontario Annual Recognition Day

Nearly fifty teens from all across the province recently had reason to celebrate duringPortage Ontario’s annual Recognition Day. Based in Elora, Portage is a residential treatment centre for youth between 14 and 19 years of age with serious substance abuse problems. Since its opening in 1985, the Portage centre has treated over 4,000 youth from across Ontario.  Read more …

Portage and the National Addictions Awareness Week

Portage is taking advantage of Drug Awareness Week, which runs from November 16th to 22nd, to highlight the problem of  Illegal Synthetic drugs abuse in our society. The Portage Communications office will deploy all efforts to raise awareness and inform the public and the politicians about drug abuse issues. Read more…
