Fundraiser trades running shoes for guitar to help addiction centre
Nineteen-year-old Alicha Hachey was a typical teenager.
She loved to spend time with her family and ride horses, until her addiction to drugs and trouble with the law sent her down the wrong path.
That’s when she discovered Portage Atlantic.
“I was sick and tired of being sick and tired,” said Hachey, who lives and works in Fredericton.
Hachey enrolled in Portage Atlantic’s treatment centre for youth in May 2009 and graduated from the program in November.
