More than 70 amazing and unique quilts!

Lions Club eventOn May 18, 2017, members of the various District N-1 Lions clubs, including District Governor Lion Brennan Beaumont, and First Lady Lion Cindi Beaumont, presented some 70 quilts and throws to the Cassidy Lake Centre.  Each quilt is a unique piece of art and will bring comfort, warmth and color to the girls’ and boys’ dormitories and community areas.

A successful visit from   Accreditation Canada 

For the past several years, Portage has cooperated with Accreditation Canada to validate the quality and safety of its services. The visit of the Accreditation Canada team to nine of our eleven centres took place during the week of June 12 to 16, to perform the assessment of our administrative, clinical and organizational practices.

The official opening of the Lewis Fitness Centre is fast approaching!

Lewis Center

The Lewis Fitness Centre will help instill in youth the value of physical activity and the positive impact on their behaviors and healthy lifestyles. There are approximately 150 youth per year who will benefit from the new centre.  The official opening of the Fitness Centre will be held in the Fall of 2017.  Members of the Portage Atlantic Board members visit the site on May 28, 2017.
