The 17th edition of the Portage Cocktail Dinner Buffet took place on Tuesday, the 8th of May at the Roundhouse of the Jules-Dallaire Complex. Under the co-presidency of Sylvain Cossette, President and CEO of Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust, and Carl Tremblay, Managing Partner at Fasken, this event enabled the gathering of a record number of invitees, made up of more than 180 business men and women from the Québec area for an evening benefiting the drug addiction rehabilitation programs for adolescents in Saint-Malachie and for adults in Québec.
The catering service provided by Montego, offered a world-inspired cuisine allowing the discovery of diverse and decadent dishes.
This event helped raise a record amount of $35,000. Michel Dallaire, President of the Portage fundraising campaign for the region of Québec, is proud to announce that the $375,000 annual objective was reached and would like to thank the committee members for their dedication and loyalty towards the mission set out by Portage.
In addition, during the evening, a young woman shared her experience after having completed her therapy and her employment training at Portage. Now employed by Portage, she is very grateful for the unmeasurable support she’s received. Her experience has raised awareness as to the importance of the roll Portage plays in the community.
Portage would like to thank its partners and all those that contributed to the success of the evening.
