This spring, Portage animated several presentations on sexual health with the adults and adolescents currently in aftercare, using tools created by Portail VIH/sida du Québec.
One such tool is a free app called Sexposer, which helps users test their knowledge of sexual health, calculate their risk level for contracting sexually transmitted diseases, learn how to reduce the risk of transmission, and find the nearest testing centre. The app also allows users to anonymously text a representative at Portail VIH/sida du Québec with any questions and concerns, and receive a response within 24 hours.
Portage now includes workshops with the app in its weekly aftercare meetings for Portage graduates, in order to raise awareness and deepen clients understanding about sexual health in just a few clicks.
Portail VIH/sida du Québec is a community-based organisation with a mission to educate and provide support to the public and particularly people living with HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
