Portage Ontario at Stop The Stigma event

Portage Ontario was proud to take part in the #STOPTHESTIGMA “Seeing the Us in Substance Use” RALLY held on September 26, 2016 at Market Square City Hall in Guelph. Portage Elora’s friendly Admissions Team was there to support the local community and to help provide awareness about this important cause.

Guelph Mayor Cam Guthrie addressed staff members and clients from over twelve different agencies from the Guelph area about the importance of reducing the stigma associated with substance abuse and raising awareness about all aspects of substance use and recovery.

Portage Ontario has always been invited to participate in these events because of its reputation and the good work it does to help vulnerable youth overcome drug addiction issues.
