The Portage family is quite unique, and many people who work at its rehabilitation centres stay with Portage for many years. As a result of this, when leadership roles open up, candidates are often chosen from within the Portage family.
A recent training session identified a handful of staff members who show great initiative to be trained to potentially become Level 4 Case Workers in the future. The training took place at the Portage lac Écho centre in Prévost, Québec, from February 6 to 8, 2012. Portage’s Executive Director, Peter Vamos, kicked off the training session, which was led by Allan Farkas, François Bourdon, Melissa Parczewski, Caroline Gélinas, Antonio Maturo, Bruce Ferguson, Lucil Plaisance, Ernesto Felaco, and Guillaume Potvin.
