Portage’s initial accreditation in 2010 was granted for a three-year period. During the summer of 2012, Portage initiated the required steps to renew its status as an accredited organisation, and Accreditation Canada’s follow-up visit occurred during the summer of 2013. As in 2010, accreditation was granted on condition that certain standards be met within a set timeframe. At this time, Portage’s accreditation team is in the process of implementing the required measures to ensure compliance.
Portage’s accreditation process is a commitment to continuous quality improvement, involving all staff members at both the administrative and clinical levels. We wish to thank all those who played a role in Portage’s accreditation and who, day after day, demonstrate that this commitment to safety and quality services is an integral part of Portage’s organisational culture.
