After having overcome drug addiction at Portage’s rehabilitation centres and devoted themselves to a positive lifestyle, a group of Portage graduates has gotten together to give back.
One of their first initiatives was a spaghetti dinner on December 13, the profits of which went to buying Christmas presents for those who are currently in treatment at Portage’s centres in Québec. The youth in treatment who have no family and the parents in treatment who do not have the means to buy gifts for their children were all on the group’s special Christmas list.
“Whatever we can do to give back to Portage’s residents in need,” said the group’s organiser, who will be going to the Portage centre in Prévost on Christmas Eve to deliver the presents.
On behalf of our residents, Portage extends its sincere thanks and warmest Holiday wishes to this group for their heartfelt initiative.
