This year marks twenty years that Portage’s Mentally Ill Chemical Abusers (MICA) Program has been helping people with mental illness to develop the necessary tools and confidence to overcome their addiction issues and take back control of their lives.
On October 16, the MICA Program welcomed sixty guests to its centre in Montréal to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Residents, graduates, partners, and Portage employees celebrated the hundreds of people whose lives have been touched by the program since it was established in 1995. Six graduates received certificates of merit for the positive lifestyle they have been living for the past six, seven, twelve, and thirteen years.
Thank you to everyone who has made Portage’s MICA Program such a special place. Thank you to our staff members, our board members, and all of our partners and donors for making treatment at Portage possible.
