Treatment: Shellee Rogerson credits rehabilitation facility with turning life around
SUSSEX – At 21, Shellee Rogerson was an addict who knew she needed to change her life for her son, but she also knew she needed help.
That help came in the form of Portage Atlantic, a rehab facility for youth in Cassidy Lake, outside of Norton.
“I was determined. It was my plan that if I got better I’d be able to keep my son,” she said of her child who is now three. “He was my inspiration.”
On Sunday, Rogerson, who is originally from Quispamsis, along with 42 other graduates, received recognition for becoming drug free.
