About Portage

07-21-2015

Portage Atlantic is holding information sessions to encourage a dialogue among youth and staff at the Cassidy Lake centre about the benefits of tobacco-free living.

The Learning About Tobacco-Free Living sessions, facilitated by a tobacco addictions consultant from VitalitéNB, seek to increase awareness about the health benefits of tobacco-free living, including the physical, financial, social and environmental effects. The sessions also promote tools for stress reduction to help lower anxiety that can arise from discussing tobacco addiction.

The four half-day sessions held in July and August are made possible by the Take Action on Tobacco Use Grant Program, sponsored by the Department of Social Development New Brunswick, Wellness Branch.
