On Sunday July 11th, teams from Portage Atlantic, T4G and The Girls Bra Shop came together to take part in Future Focus Foundation’s “Stride for Success” charity relay, which raised $4,000 for Portage Atlantic’s Recovery Trail project.
Future Focus Foundation is the charitable organisation founded by technology company T4G Limited. With their help, Portage is raising money for the Recovery Trail Project over a three year period by encouraging individuals and businesses to register a team in the annual “Stride for Success” charity relay.
The Recovery Trail Project involves extending and enhancing Cassidy Lake’s existing 3.8 km path. Once completed, the trail will provide new exercise and outdoor adventure opportunities to resident youth at the Cassidy Lake addiction rehabilitation centre.
Cassidy Lake participants and volunteers had a great time at the relay, winning some fantastic prizes and impressing everyone with their race times. Their positive attitudes and willingness to support one another was an inspiration to all, as some of the youth tackled the challenging course several times to keep others company during their leg of the run.
A big thank you to The Girls Bra Shop of Saint John, which raised over $1,500 for the Recovery Trail. Their creative fundraising efforts included a designer lingerie raffle, a clothing swap and cash donations.
As always, a special thank you goes out to T4G Ltd’s Future Focus Foundation for their enduring support.
