awareness

Members of the Portage Atlantic staff and youth continue to participate in various community outreach initiatives to create an awareness of the program and services offered at the Cassidy Lake residential rehabilitation centre for youths between the ages of 14 and 21 who are dealing with substance abuse issues.

Recently, Portage Atlantic Admissions Coordinator Tambrie Hicks and residents Tristan and Noah, accompanied by faithful friend Jorja, took part in a presentation/speaking engagement at the Northrop Frye School in Moncton, in front of approximately 100 grade 8 students with their teachers and staff members.

By telling their stories, the residents of Portage hope to make a difference in the lives of the young audiences in helping them make good decisions and seek help if faced with issues of drug use.
