About Portage

12-26-2012

Portage staff members do their best to make the Holidays a special time for the youth in treatment, organising festive activities and outings and making the most of the winter wonderland outside the rehabilitation centre.

To start off the Holiday Season, Portage Elora residents traveled to Waterloo to see the Festival of Lights. Back at the centre, they celebrated the winter solstice on a walk through the property, lit by the lanterns they had made in art therapy class. The community made gingerbread houses and shared a turkey dinner over Christmas carols before most residents went home to their families for Christmas Eve and day.
