About Portage


On July 1, Portage Atlantic residents and staff members celebrated Canada Day with a leisurely 10:15 brunch followed by a variety of activities. Capture the flag, face painting, and three-legged races took place throughout the warm and sunny day, followed by a barbeque dinner and a special Canada Cake made by the centre’s cook, Kim Hewitt.

The festivities continued into the night with bonfires, sing-alongs, and night meetings with marshmallows around the fire pit.
