Members of the Riverview Lions Club were on site at the Cassidy Lake rehabilitation centre on June 27 to present a cheque for $2,000 to Portage Atlantic, which was used to purchase Judo mats and art supplies at the centre.

Third year relay race approaches $60,000 goal to complete outdoor trail for Portage Atlantic in helping youth overcome addictions Money raised goes towards the completion of walking and biking trails at Portage Atlantic’s Cassidy Lake treatment facility for young people overcoming substance abuse.
Amanda, a Portage Atlantic graduate and fourth year psychology student at Saint Thomas University, was recently awarded a $1,000 bursary from the Ron Evans Bursary Fund for post-secondary studies. Portage Atlantic and the Nashwaaksis Lions congratulate Amanda on her accomplishments and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
