On June 14th, in Moncton New Brunswick, Portage Atlantic held its third gala fundraising dinner to create awareness and raise funds for programs and services.  Guests in attendance included the business community, Portage Board of Directors, Portage staff members, Alumni and Aftercare youth accompanied by their families.

The stories told by guest speaker, Dan Martell and Gage and his mom Jennifer, typified the stories of despair, struggles and recovery told by so many young people and families who have gone through the rehabilitation program at Cassidy Lake.  The raw, emotional and incredible stories of adversity and courage helped educate guests in attendance about the far-reaching illness that is addiction and that there is hope for successful rehabilitation.

The Brad Woodside and Friends Event in 2017 and the Wilile O'Ree Celebration in 2018 were held in Fredericton and guests heard emotional and encouraging messages from Portage Atlantic families.

The three events raised proceeds of $215,000 for programs and services at Cassidy Lake.  This funding is critical to help enhance, and in some cases maintain key rehabilitation components of programming that are critical to successful and continuing sobriety.
